We've Been Progressive and Resilient from Day One

Our Methodist Heritage

In 1842, the trustees of Athens Female Academy envisioned more. Madame Childs Has a Plan

One School, Many Names

Many of these dedicated men spent personal money to keep us operating. In 1904, the vibrant thirty-year-old Mary Norman Moore became president. She focused on developing an advanced and modern curriculum. An Autonomous University
